It is NOT good news losing Sidlow. Especially when his replacement is likely to be Mr Nobody.

Terrible news on Sidlow as he was one of our better forwards last year, I know not to everyones taste but a grafter and someone who seemed to enjoy wearing a Red shirt (my mind goes back to MM).

I don't blame any player at all for jumping ship at this time as they need stability of employment, it is annoying that he's potentially going to Bradford a team who have been in our position and now seem to be able to buy players.

I'm sad to say that unless this is sorted out in the VERY close future Broughton, Williams, McPherson and Ashurst will have agents and vultures waiting overhead.

It IS good that he is going. Tbh he should have been released. Another Ian Sibbit, has no aggression and is powder puff. We can pick up a dozen front rowers in the lower leagues who are better. Just because we are short on numbers doesn't mean we should on to someone who isn't good enough. Has one good game a year, would be lucky to get £7.50 for him!

I'm a little loath to slag players off, but maybe this is not so bad. He was a solid forward, What we need is a dynamic forward. Yes I realise under the current situation, beggars cant be choosers but hey ho. If we can replace him with a forward who gives their all you can't ask for more I suppose...

This is a good opportunity for us to clear some deadwood. TBH of the players who have left I would loved to have kept DJ. Smith/Moon and Gleeson are also top 8 players. Out of the existing squad: Jodie, Jewitt, Ashurst, Dixon and maybe McPhearson ,if he stays fit, will fall into this category. Bar the youngsters the rest are just journeymen or over the hill and are the reason Salford finish 10 or 11th every year so I couldn’t really care less if any of them leave!!
