Let me be the first to post this topic! Who's crazy enough to take it on now? Surely though the board will still have candidates from the last round of interviews or have they already been snapped up? I'd like to see a young, English coach next, no idea who though and as long as we get the best person for the job I suppose I don't really care if he's a Martian!

Powell for me I think. Good record at lower level on a not so huge budget and he's English. Give a young English coach a chance, last time we did (Rhino) the fans loved him and he was very successful by our standards!

I'd like to see you give Karl Harrison another shot.

Was probably your most successful coach in the last couple of years albeit with limited resources, and he seems to have improved in the Championship.

Yes there will be coaches with a more glistening resumae but if everyone tells you there's not a chance in hell they'll join, then Harrison would be a decent choice.

As much as I'd love a top class name, it is unlikely to expect anyone with half a reputation to want it. I think we are resigned to Veivers being the yes man that the board crave. Very sad day.

Surely this post should read NEXT NODDING DOG?

Honestly Eastenders has less drama than our club. Pathetic.

Darryl Powell would be an excellant choice. Very inovative young British coach. Is in the England fold at the moment and is getting good wraps from the players.

Quote: Early Bath "Duneman please.'"

who in their right mind who want/employ another untried Australian coach after this debacle ?

moreover which Overseas Coach worth his salt would touch us after Parish ?

forget all the high talking , what we need is an experienced english based coach who can give us some period of stability and claw back a semblance of credibility.

but as Andy Wilson so candidly put it However if Salford didn't have the sense to go for either of them or the lower-profile Powell last summer, there doesn't seem any likelihood that they will be capable of wising up now. Prepare for another preposterous appointment'"

Harrison was found out half way through 2006. We limped over the line in the end that year and by the middle of 2007 was fodder.
