| Does anyone else worry that the way Parish walked off after the game with hardley a look at the crowd shows that he's off?
Talked with someone who'd chatted with im last night and asked if he was staying and he got nothing but I might do.

| Today's organ of truth and accuracy, MEN, suggested the same.
and reading this "Parish was unemployed and reports from the players he is unapproachable also heard on the grape vine he likes to 'socialise' a lot this is not very professional. " on another thread doesn't help: the bloke has hardly had a chance to show owt.
Being a Salford fan is traumatic.

| I sincerely hope you are wrong.
My interpretation was he didn't stick around after the final whistle because he was deeply disappointed by the display out on the field.
he has been outspoken since he arrived about the task ahead of him to bring about change on the field of play ,, but these comments are more of frustration .Now it is the close season for us the real work begins, so for god sake can we let him get on with the job and stop the remonstrations.
as for the comments ' he was unemployed '[/i ..

| BBC SPORT : Peter Gentle has joined Shaun McRae at Hull They both share the same manager agent.
Now forgive me for asking this but Salford has talked to Gentle before Parrish came over.
To my knowledge we were told that we had no chance to get Gentle he wouldnt leave West Tigers till end of the season .
So it seems to suggest that People knew the Situation and what was going to happen in Yorkshire and Did Gentle know more that Parrish Knew When he was appointed. Did one know more that the other or was it " coincidental"
And as to reports Parrish was discusted at Salfords Performance Wasnt every fan horrified at the display ?
There was hardly any Atsmosphere at the Willows yesterday it was like a state funeral it made me wonder how many of the croud were loyal Salford fans and how many were there just to say i was there at the last game.

| Come on you guys: what the hell do you expect?
Our new coach is quite obviously a winner. I know that this may be an alien concept to not only Salford fans, but somehow embroiled in our National "psyche" .
Our club has needed a bloody good kick up the freckle for longer than I care to remember. The sooner the better, and if this has to hurt in the short term, so be it.
If some cannot understand Matt's frustration then it's about time they sought opinion regarding Salford City Red's counterparts in the wider Rugby League world with varying opinions about us being a "retirement home" for past it "stars".
I know I've harped on about this time and time again but Rugby League is not a game where you can hide for too long without real credibility, be it players, boards of directors, and especially coaches.
I'm pretty sure that Matt may occasionally regret the way he handled an issue or two, as we all do in life from time to time, that's life, none of us are perfect.
I think we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that this is THE man that has been brought into our club to do what has needed to be done for a long time, and if we fall shy of backing him now, then I don't think we will ever progress to the place where we feel we should be.
So fellas: "cut the cr@p, cut the gossip and let's get on with our respective roles within the club.

The MEN also said that Gary Williams scored two tries for us.
My impression of Matt Parish and having an Australian son in law is that he doesn't and will not suffers fools gladly.
You can be sociable and be professional, perhaps we have some people who like to socialize but cannot take having to be professional and disciplined at the same time.
He was clearly very upset over the teams performance on the pitch but from what I saw he handled himself very well certainly before, during and after the Radio Manchester interviews, when he was constantly being cheered at, asked to shake hands with a never ending stream of supporters and being constantly interrupted by well-wishers and that was after a good walloping from the Catalans.
Anyone with any doubts over his ideas and standards only has to read his column in the programme from Sunday.

| Most people on this forum have been Salford fans long enough to know, that us fans won't always agree with everything the coach does, but in Matt Parish we seem to have someone determined to succeed. When we first recruited Parish I was sceptical and didn't think we should have taken on a new coach mid-season. However, at least he's had a good look at the squad and now knows what needs to be done in the off season.
I'll reiterate a point I've made before, the damage McRae did to our club - our players confidence and to young players careers - is going to take a long time to undo.
