| Quite an enjoyable game despite the loss I thought.
Given the amount of field position we had, we probably should have won but you've got to give credit to KR because defensively they were very impressive. There were times when we played some good, expansive stuff and looked like we were away for a breakaway try but they always managed to scramble back. Defensively we did very well too.
Good to see a new youngster blooded into the team in Jack Spencer and he had a decent debut. Hopefully we'll see more of him next year.
Anyone know why Stapo got sent to the bin? I didn't really see what went on. Other than that I thought he had a good game as well as Phil Leuluai.
Fitzy looked quite sharp, especially in his support play and he did well when tackling Colbon into touch when they looked likely to score after Wilshere was out of position from the kick out to the wing.
Was Cockayne sinbinned for attempting to take out Robbie after a kick? Because it looked like he failed miserably and just bounced off him

| Both sin-bin decisions were very poor imo. Especially the KR players. He got to our kicker (Ratchford?) literally a milisecond after he kicked it and barely touched him at that. In general I don't think Mr Leahy had a clue what was going on tonight. Both sides received some odd penalties.
A real purists game tonight. Really enjoyed it. We played probably to our full capabilities, dominating territory and posession but lacked the class required at this level. KR have that class. To be under the cosh for so long and still have the ability to maintain balance and composure is a credit to Justin Morgan's coaching/man management skills. Then the KR class I speak of resulted in 2 tries against the run of play.
Well done KR and all the best for the run in.

Good comments.
I expect Mcrea to up the ante in terms of the calibre of players he'll bring in during the off-season for you.

| Great to see young Jack Spencer given a chance last night.
Also I feel a special mention for Jeremy Smith who at times last night really got stuck in.
Hopefully next season Smith will improve and play with a bit more confidence..
After watching the reserve game last night I think the sooner now Jordan Turner and Richard Myler depart the better for both there future and the club.
Quite frankly at times they were shocking to say the least, on a plus note why Jason Walton was playing in the reserves last night I do not know, he is ready now for first team rugby and hopefully next season he will have a big year...

| I thought your defensive effort was very impressive, on last nights peformance salford are not that far from being a (lower) top 8 team.
Good luck for the future guys.

| The sin binnings were spot on. Stapo was about three weeks late and cleaned the kicker out.

| Impressed with Salford last night. If you had played like that all season it would be a play off place you would be looking forward to. Tackling top class by both teams.

| It was a proper game of rugby league. Salford's expansive game almost paid off. It took a mighty defensive effort by Rovers to repel them but that was the type of game needed prior to our attack at the semis. Ratchford was very impressive and looks certain England material if he continues to progress in this way. A really enjoyable night, thanks to both teams.

I think it's quite interesting to see how together the team seem to be since Myler got dropped - makes you wonder just how destabilising all the Myler hysteria was.
Pretty good performance last night, just one or two fewer errors and we could well have won it - but I think you have to give credit to HKR's superb scrambling defence - so quick in closing anything down. Certainly gives me some optimism for next season if we can just spend the Myler money wisely.
