Forever Reds is an independent supporters trust. Since 2003, we have raised funds to help Salford City Reds and rugby league in the local community. In 2010 and 11, we were the official sponsors of Jack Spencer.

As a legal entity— an IPS [size(rlwhat is an IPS?rl)[/size— Forever Reds belongs to its membership. Each member owns one share in the Trust; an equal share and therefore an equal say in how the Trust operates. The elected board and committee are volunteers, so all monies raised go towards the aims of the Trust and its administration.

We raise money primarily via the membership scheme and our events. We also raise funds thanks to donations and through commission earned by users who shop with our affiliates.

To get more of a taste of what we do and who's involved, Forever Reds hold regular meetings which are free for everyone to attend. We sincerely hope that you consider joining the trust, and that together we can become a stronger voice and of more valuable help to Salford City Reds and local rugby league.

[sizeMemberships[/size

Members are the life blood of Forever Reds. Each member recieves a share in the supporters trust, which enables them to vote at our elections. New memberships are £10 for adults and £5 for juniors (u16s)*. These are renewed annually every February at £5 and £2.50 respectively, about which you will be notified by post.

Forever Reds have been invited to put a tag rugby team into the Supporters Direct Challenge Cup on 29th November. We've entered, all we need to do now is get a team together. The rules are below - it's 5-a-side and we need at least 2 female players on the pitch at any time. We need to get a maximum squad of 10. The only qualifying rule is that you are a member of Forever Reds (£10 to join if you're not already). Let me know if you fancy it.

Quote: "The inaugural Supporters Direct Rugby League Challenge Cup will take place on Sunday November 29th 2009 at Soccer Village in Milnrow, near Rochdale and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to enter the competition.

The Challenge Cup will be an eight team TAG rugby league festival, and is intended to be a celebration of the supporters trust movement, whilst also giving trusts the opportunity to show off a few skills in the process!

The competition will be played under the RFL Tag Rugby League Laws (to follow) with the following alterations/additions

You had better book an ambulance for Big Pev and ambulance men as big as Ray Cashmere to carry him, if he plays. icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

I would prefer a Holts wagon, but I feel that the better half will say a big no icon_lol.gif icon_lol.gif

In reply to U45d and anyone else wondering, the games are expected to start at 1pm and finish by 4pm with a presentation and food afterwards.

Thanks to those who've put their hands up so far. I'll be in touch.

Still in need of players for this. Especially females. No experience necessary, an ability to catch and throw a rugby ball would be advantageous.
