Great start to 2016! Not another Phil Bailey I hope. Salary, five months rent, air fares, medical costs and probably a club car and he won't have played a game for us. Only at Salford were cursed.

Has this happened since we signed him? If not we shouldn't have and sourced a replacement.

I was wondering why the lack of any form of publicity since he arrived, do hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

The optimist in me says he will be worth waiting for. The pessimist in me is worried that he'll never pull a Salford shirt on.

Anyone know if the injury happened before or after he arrived? If it happened before surely the player would be in breach of contract. If it happened since he came over it's just plain bad luck.

I'm not sure you'll find one willing to shift to the other side of the world for a few months before getting the boot when Vidot returns. Especially at this stage of the season.

I see it as an opportunity for the likes of Johnson and MCB to try and make a mark, especially as I think we'll be shifting it wide a lot more than last season...

It's a blow, but we have a decent backline and replacements. If we were signing a big name forward with a six month injury I'd be more concerned.

I was thinking more about a prop than a wing replacement. If we did this who's to say another overseas player won't be injured or underperforming by the time Vidot returns? You never know a prop on the fringes of an NRL team may jump at the opportunity to put themselves in the shop window.
