I listen to Manchester's Rock Radio daily in the car and they're running a collaboration with the Reds. I've browsed a couple of pages of the forum and couldn't see anything so apologies if this has already been posted.

Basically you can register through the Rock Radio site and get free tickets for one Salford game. I think the idea is to get new fans in to experience the sport ahead of your big move next season. It seems a really good idea and I hope it brings bigger gates for you. From what I can see on the site they'll be doing the pre-match entertainment too
Worth a couple of mins to fill in and get some free tickets, plus tune in: it's a great station  |

| Thanks for this, it's good to know that the Partnership is working and will benefit both Salford and RL in general. 
RP if you move away from here you will find the advertising for the Lowry and Media City, states Manchester as well, i like to phone that furniture store on regent rd ordsall, that gives manchester as its address and ask them for directions to get there, normally ends with, "no that can't be right thats Salford not Manchester, i won't bother buying anything if don't know where you are how bad could your products be." |

This could also be another case of simply not being aware of any difference (however slight that maybe). I'm doing a project with a few Manchester lads at uni based around Salford. Until I told them (or rather drilled it home) none of them were aware that Salford wasn't part of Manchester or that's it's city in its own right - even though one of them was born in Hope Hospital and another has lived his whole life in Salford. Neither were they bothered. |

Hmm. Manchester's certainly in vogue. If only we could get our aforementioned trump cards to sell themselves as products of Salford.
Mind you, what chance of that when our own council allows Manchester City Council to walk all over us. Well, in terms of allowing them to get away with referring to various Salford sites as Manchester. I.e., the use of images of the Quays and media city on their website and whatnot.
Nevermind all those famous Manchester people suchas Tony Wilson for example.
It's almost criminal in my eyes.
