| 1987, aged 2. Just about all I know. Oh, I fell asleep on my dad's knee in the 2nd half. Was a common occurance in my early years.

| 1946 I can't remember who we were playing but I have been a supporter ever since people say that its only a game but to some people it means more than that.
Some of the players around off what I was told at the time were Jack Davies, Dai Davies, Dai Moses, Frank Stirrup and many others.

| 1967 we had just signed some bloke called Watkins and there was a Tea hut at the top of the north stand, I think the social club had just opened but only stretched half way across the far end, with its new score board.
"E for B and Charlie Bott"
as smithy says we witnessed the greats of the last 50 years under the stewardship of Brian Snape, we were the team to come and see with the "best variety club in the country" Bob Monkhouse,

| can't remember my first game but my dad used to take me when i was a toddler (early 70's). I had no interest whatsoever and just used to run up and down in front of the club (much to my dads annoyance). One of my earliest memories was the Salford scene programme after the fire. Also remember walking to Station Road from our house in School Street on a red hot day to watch us lose to Saints in the Premiership final in 76. I was 8 at the time.

| 1978, live just over the boarder in Warrington but my mate's Dad took me to the Willows (he was from Irlam) never looked back since. We used to stand on the opposite side of the players tunnel to the shed when there used to be terracing there.
Watkins, Nash, Hesketh, Coulman, Dixon, Fielding, & the toothless Eric Prescott, ahh good days. Maybe we'll have them again one day.

| 1973 Castleford at home, won 16-5. I recall Edwards Meats were giving free vouchers at the gate. Was a regular from then on with my Dad. He would rush home from work, gulp down his tea and then we would leg it for the Number One bus from Great Cheetham Street to Weaste Bus Depot. Bus was always packed with fans going to the game and to the dog races at the Albion. I always sat on the wall at the bottom of the terrace that was where the prefabs are now. Many a time Keith Fielding would wander over to say hello and ruffle your hair while waiting for David Watkins to bang over another kick. Happy Days so far removed from today.

| Coming from a United loving family didn't really get into rugby league until I started following Wigan in my early teens, wait for it, I was about 16 when my mate took me to the willows for the first time late in 1993, when beat we beat Wakefield Trinity.
Two older guys slated Scott Naylor constantly for the entire game. By the end of 80mins Naylor had scored 2/3 tries. By the time we played Wigan in the Regal Cup semi-final, I hated the pie eaters and was true red.
Although seem to recall watching salford on tv one saturday afternoon, can't remember how old I was but my little brother been born so less than 8, but think we played leeds at the willows and we beat them. Prehaps it was destiny.
