I have my doubt but live in hope, would be a welcome addition to the squad, for me we lack quality in depth & already we find 3 first choice players out for the first game of the season.

It would be a huge boost if we could secure Carney a visa, but on the flip side if it gets turned down at this late stage would be a massive blow, and it will be harder now to sign a replacement then it would of been 2 months back when Watson targeted Carney.

I reckon koukash knew all along this would be turned down but given the timing of the announcement he would have wanted to boost ticket sales.
