Chalk and cheese from the first to second half. Our left edge defence was shocking in the first half, everytime they ran at Dobson and Bibby, they either got try, repeat set. Still massively evident how we need a top class hooker and a prop. Thought Logan had a good game and surprising, seemed to run from dummy half a few times. What Joseph was doing in that 17, I hand on heart can not see what Watson sees in him. Don't know why they don't throw Wilkinson in, I'm sure they could drop feed him as Logan has minutes in him. Thought Jake Bibby had a tough day at the office, but I'd rather see him having a crack than putting square pegs in round hole. MOM for me between, Jones, Dobson or Logan.

On a side note won't get mentioned as we won, but how many times does O'brien get caught out because of his lethargic attempt to pick / return the ball, 2/3 he got caught yesterday, Greg Johnson has the same approach.

I think we must be pleased with the result, we were absolutely awful in the first half. we did not concede in the second half, even better we cut out the silly penalties & unforced errors in the second half, which has clearly been our undoing this season.

Vidot did what he needed to do & the first try needed scoring, Dobson pace is becoming an issue although his rugby brain got us over the line with some very smart kicks continuing to put pressure on there line throughout the second half. Thought Carney & Sau ran hard & continued to take pressure off at the right times.

Pleased more how we came out & responded to a poor first half clearly finishing the stronger, well done Salford.

Just been watching some of the game back and quite interested to hear Terry O'Connor on the commentary accuse Michael Dobson of carrying out 'a form of cheating' when he was deemed by both the video ref and referee to have been obstructed by a Widnes dummy runner

I wonder if he'd be willing to explain his comment further?
