The Doctor thought he could come in and throw money around and make you the biggest team in the game. He is now finding that there are controls in place to stop this happening and doesn't understand that the reason it's set up as it is so it doesn't become a 4 team comp.

Much as it would be great for any club for a chairman to come in and do this it would kill the game off and team like Wakefield, Cas HKR, Fev, Bradford etc etc would just become part time feeder clubs. This may sound good for club with money but only having 4 team full time would kill the sport.

He isn't doing this for the sport he is doing it for you Salford which might seem nice but it's very dangerous.

If the Doc was in charge of the RFL just think what the tweets at the RFU would be like!!! Ace!!


Let's face it he thought he might have a bit more ground to do what he liked. He hasn't. For a while most of us seem to have been saying that some clubs manage to spend around the salary cap rather than within it. He possibly has a bit more insight as he will be aware of the wages being asked for by players as agents will be in direct contact with him.

I understand his frustrations. I just wish he had someone with a bit more media nous working for him.
