I'm all for the club appealing this as it was an 'unfair hearing'. A bit far out but, I also think the cap is outdated and potentially a restriction on a players ability to play/trade and a the size of a clubs squad?? Maybe nonsense but just a thought.

...or any addition could be applied in the middle eights comp, should they not now escape the bottom 4. The RFL went ahead and changed the league structures without thinking about if all its bye laws / rules were now fit for purpose. The other one they missed was the signing deadline.

I think that shows how points deductions have been increasing over time.

The potential sanctions have increased but in the interest of things like fairness & consistency apart from fielding an extra man for 6 tackles the last 4 on the list above are for going into administration (often as a result small businesses don't get paid) and before that Wigan & Bradford were in breach not once but twice.
