Mario is right.
The level of personal abuse goes way beyond banter and deters people from contributing.
I don't think Mario should be a moderator because he is clearly unpopular on this site but I hope he still contributes - the more the merrier !
It is so unnecessary.
As he rightly says, there are the optimists and the pessimists, and I hope that will always be the case because it makes for better reading.
Some of the contributions on the previous thread were embarrassing.

Are you seriously supporting Mario? I'm sorry but Mario has done nothing but poop stir on this forum since he first "graced" us with his presence and he is the epitome of what an internet troll is. I love debate but I don't think I've ever seen him offer anything to a discussion. He's just an attention seeker and a trouble causer and I'd quite happily never see his name "contributing" on here again.

This site used to have some great debate but it's gone to the dogs and that's due to the Mario's/LanceTodd's/EcclesStar's of this world....

Good post Mario. This is how i see it, The above is exactly what Mario is on about. The above Ad Hominem attacks are totally unprovoked.In my case. All "Butch'' does is stalk me around the forums with numerous alias's provoking a squabble regarding a certain subject where he then tirades atypical parody of brain insults. The lad has a deep routed cognitive dissonance problem hence his continuous obsessive ad hominem attacks. Then you get "Butch's'' conjoined twin parroting the same vitriol. I admit i retaliate but its only through provocation.

What a pathetic quote, so you can only be a Moderator through a popularity contest. A moderator should be picked upon his/hers ability police the site unbiased.

Feel free to prove me wrong but I'm pretty sure Mario has never once contributed anything but poop stirring. The fact some of you seem to back him on here just beggars belief. Jeez, it's like having our own version of Donald Trump!!!

I'm certainly not backing him, I agree with what you say. He does seem at be least to only frequent the forum when we aren't going well. Doesn't mean we should be nasty in response, I have responded myself in the past, but I'd prefer to just ignore

Hopefully he can prove us wrong and contribute with some positive posts one day
