The fact is that he was overrated by the fans who liked him,and underrated by those who didn't.
I see a decent player who could develop massively, but one whose career could stall. He's at that age,really.
It's odd that he's not being played by Cunningham.
Otherwise, we'll know in the next couple of seasons just how well he develops.
My guess,for what it's worth,is that he won't make it big at a top 6 club,but I'm just as likely to be wrong !

I think Theo has the ability to be a very good HB. He is certainly not the finished article by a long shot, and he appears to be sinking into obscurity at Saints at the moment, which will do him no good. A lot of people seem to pick him apart on these boards, both his good and bad attributes. He's still very young with a lot to learn, and I think a really good coach could really bring him on leaps and bounds. He's not getting that and it will only hinder him in the long run. I didn't think he was the best thing since sliced bread or the worst HB I've ever seen either. We've not missed him in the same way that we've not missed Chase, so wont lose any sleep.

Give me an academy player over and import any day of the week. I like Theo and was proud he was an academy lad who was good enough for SL.
Was he all that? Nah not really, he had skills and bravery but lacked the one thing that makes a really good creative half back, pace. This can be offset by a good kicking game (Dobbo) but Theos kicking was average.

I would rather he had stayed, same as Sneyd. But I am more than happy now

You have to think if Theo was that good Catalan would have at some time made a serious play to take him 'home'.

Salford should be proud of Theo. He came through our academy and was thrust ( maybe too soon) into game politics, when numerous players and agents decided SRD were an open goal for legal action. He like most others were badly advised and it leaves a bitter taste that they tried to do it when they were needed most ( and had most leverage). They have moved on , so have we; I guess more of them ( players) regret it than the club or fans do!
