It was certainly plain for all to see that Taylor wanted to win every match and that's why he was the player of the year. I guess that interview just confirms what we already knew & hopefully the not bothered types have all moved on to the championship!

Scott was a true professional and real leader last year, he quickly became a fans favourite as you could clearly see his desire and drive to get the job done.
He will be sorely missed this year as his go forward was immense in not the best motivated side.
I certainly would've broke the bank to keep him and I'm sure Koukask may have had numerous conversations but the at the end of the day we knew he was only here for 1 year and that's what made his commitment even more impressive.
He was one who I thought we'd struggle to replace but first eyes on Kopzcak the other week he looks like he'll go well and put big minutes in.

I get all what's gone on behind the scenes and that certain key players were clearly only here for the money, it's just about been documented in every media stream -professional and social I think.
I know hindsights a wonderful thing but to be honest as Middleman said on another thread, if we hadn't got so many suspensions and injuries to key players and continued the run post Easter (we lost about 4 games by a couple of points with a decimated side) we could have easily made the top 8 and things could have been very different - there's that hindsight!

With regards to players not wanting to play, apart from a couple of individuals and notably the Bradford game (where everyone went missing), I personally thought the players stood up and took account for themselves in the 8's, even though most knew they wouldn't be there this year.

In a way I'm glad what happened has happened even though it's put us back 2 years, as I much prefer the direction and ethos which the club is now taking.
