To me it's like we are having to start again after two years of no real progress and a lot of wasted money on under performing players. Considering this and the fact it will take some time to build properly what are your honest expectations for the year ahead? And what would you say as a supporter would be progress for us this year?
Personally I'd be happy with the following :-
1. A team that shows a lot more effort and spirit.
2. 3-4 of the younger players developing nicely in the first team.
3. No soap opera stories coming out.
4. Avoiding relegation and finishing in the top 2 of the middle 8's.
5. The new signings giving the club value for money.
6. A couple of big scalps would be nice.
7. A few more through the turnstiles.
I think your 'minimum requirements' list sums up very well what I hope for as a minimum also. I'm actually hopeful, indeed, quietly confident that my 'minimum' will be exceeded

I think if we do any better it will be a massive tonic for everybody connected with the club. We need to get the buzz back around the club that's been sadly lacking for far too long. Supporters need to feel the club is going in the right direction on the field. Get this sorted and the whole atmosphere will change for the better around the place.
Well I thought the corner was turned after beating Wigan at Easter, decent crowd, everyone buzzing about the club. Then came tumbling down in typical Salford style.
This year I'm going for finishing bottom two and 3rd in middle 8's. Low expectations means less disappointment and more excitement when we actually win a game!
