As you say about Huddersfield, they would struggle to maintain their current status without a new benefactor, should Ken Davy decide in the future to walk away from the club.

Of course its loaned jools. Ken Davy, Calvert at Cas, Eamonn, O`Connor, maybe Moran as well put money as Directors Loans. Whether they ever take them back (Calvert did) depends on the cicumstances.

Perfectly correct EB. At the moment, if Dr K walked he'd get nothing back as all the money injected has gone on running the business and paying off the previous company debt. From the last accounts I think the Cash at Bank figure was just a few thousand!

IFIRC all the money that Wilky put in was done as loans to be repaid to his pension fund which of course never happened.

Yes I don't think any benefactors in RL realistically expect to see their money again. It's just a very expensive hobby.
