I feel a bit sorry for Johnson, he was starting to see the ball while Sau was out. Don't get me wrong Sau is a really nice guy but he seems genuinely incapable of passing the ball. As for Forster I have no opinion, I feel like he hasn't played much but that may be because he hasn't made much of an impression on me or yer know he hasn't played much. Either way it's pretty uninspiring. I can only hope it's for squad depth.

| Forster seems to be a decent squad player, and you need decent lads stepping-up into gaps caused by injury and rotation during the course of a season, so I see this as re-signing that is routine and required. As for Sau, well, I like him as a fella and he ticks the boxes for aggressive go forward. It may be the way he's been told to play or just his nature, but he doesn't deliver enough ball to his winger. I do think a lot of this is down to opportunities during a match. We simply haven't been spreading the ball to either wing like we should be doing, it's not just Sau's wing that has received less ball. This to me needs addressing in the off-season, as there's little point having the pace of BJB, MCB, and Johnson and not use it.
So Sau signing, for me, is positive. If only for the 'settled factor'. I think he has more to give and he's not a player to sit on his laurels. He's a player who wants to get better and perform better every week. What's not to like about that?
Is there better? Sure. Could we have worse? Undoubtedly.
In this case, for me, I'm content enough to see him at centre next season.

I'm in total agreement. With regards to the wingers receiving the ball, I think that's the result of our tactical style. We don't like to spread it out wide; the irony of which is that we've been caught out this season on numerous occasions by teams who play with more width than us.

| Just been looking at his stats for this season and last.
In 2014 he was our second highest with try assists with 8. Rangi being top by miles with 25. Out of that 2014 side that are still with us Evalds and Tomkins both have 6. Interestingly, in 2014, our third and fourth highest try-assist stats are with players no longer with us. Mullaney and Tim Smith.
In comparison...
In 2015, so far, Sau is fifteenth highest on the Try assist stat with just 1. Josh Griffin on the other side at centre has only produced 3 so it seems to be the way we play rather than the players at fault. Once again Chase is still top with 13 even after a prolonged period on the sidelines and is still way ahead of second place Dobson and Fages with 6 each so far.
I think it shows how much we put on the shoulders of Chase to provide those crucial assists and how it is unfair to highlight Sau in particular as a centre that doesn't deliver ball. Last years stats disprove it and this years stats show how centrally we tend to play with a reliance on Chase.

| I think Sa'u is an immense player, he seems like one of the few players who genuinely wants too play for the club and his love of the fans is obvious.
There are obviously different types of centres, for every Gleeson who used elusive footwork and guile there is a Sa'u who takes the direct route, I often think what it would be like if there was a Justin Carney outside him rather than a speedster, two wrecking balls in tandem would be devastating.
