| Quote: Chico "To be fair to the club, while it is easier to get messages out to people these days, the audience is a lot more fractured. Salford not having a proper city centre is a big hinderance. As is a declining pub culture. As is the huge decline in local newspaper readerships. If a person doesn’t use the web, isn’t on social media or doesn’t benefit from a word of mouth network, they are going to be much harder to approach today than even a decade ago.
I wonder whether putting everything into one match per year, as Wigan did with their The Big One series, is worth a go. Throw £50k of marketing spend at it and see what impact it has.'"
Or has the ability to drive past the stadium and look at a bill board advertising the fixtures and up and coming events?
I was on Google maps this morning looking at the Stadium from the satellite point of view, it was so apparent to me looking down that the new stadium is abysmally in the wrong place. It is land locked by the canal and motorway, only one way in and one way out. I know this is being addressed with the new roads, motorway junctions, smart motorway and new bridge, however I don't even think that will fully solve the problem of the stay away fans? I expanded my view on Google maps to look at the Willows and new stadium on the same screen, it then stood out, the problem is that Salford Red Devils has been ripped out of the heartland of Salford and plonked 4 miles away on the outskirts. It should have been built either where West One is now or even on the Stott Lane playing fields, both a short 10/15 minute walk away from the Willows and still in the heartland of Salford! What are the solutions, if any, of us getting away from this stadium and building something else on either of these two locations? Could we flog the whole thing to Sale Sharks and somehow pay off the councils share in it?

Well that maybe the case on their own statistics. However, in general, email is still the most effective (or rather has the highest return on investment) than any other type of online marketing, and by some distance.

| I stopped following the club on Facebook, got a little tiring the constant hawking of club linked betting sites and the like, if it was purely news updates it would be perfect.

| Quote: Man in Madrid "Occassional emails, but they seem to have dried up recently. As a ST holder, not good.
I'm really interested to know what the outcome of the £5 per ticket Warrington offer will be. I passed the details to my brother, who will be going to the stadium to buy tickets for himself and his 12 y/o son for their first visit to the AJ Bell. In fact, it will my nephews first time at a rugby league match. They live in Eccles, and are prime target market. I've asked him to let me know if the stadium are recording contact details, email addresses, phone numbers, etc. Some how, I'm sure this marketing opportunity will be missed.'"
Well, shock horror! Just had a message from my brother: he went to the AJ Bell stadium today for the tickets. He actually got 4, as I asked him to pick up 1 for my dad, and 1 for my daughter who's back from Uni. He went went into reception, and they told him to go back to the ticket office, shout through the window, and someone would come out to deal with him. He did this, and someone came along to serve him. 4 tickets requested, paid cash, not one question and no contact details asked for. An absolute disgrace! The investment that Dr Koukash has put into the rugby club, both in terms of money and time, only to be let down by incompetence on a grand scale just amazes me! With such a huge promotion as £5 adult tickets / kids free, the stadium management company and ticket office staff must surely have been tasked with closing the loop on contact details. Such a basic thing, and probably the most important aspect of the whole promotion.

| Our marketing department always reminds me of a popular Italian phrase to describe their politics; everything must change, so that everything can remain the same.
