The damage was down because at the same time Chase came in Sau was in the process of pushing him in the other direction. I doubt whether Chase knew that Sau was going to push backwards. If you watch them practice this in the warm they always pull the player forward. I see it as a risky technique gone wrong and hence worth a ban or 3 to 4 but I don't go along with the melt down response of some.
