Broughy was probably frustrated at chase's cowardly act in injuring Brett Ferres ruling him out for up to 4 months and childs ineptness to even penalise the incident. If you were playing and a thug had done that to one of your team-mates would you just stand around and do nothing? But I do agree that Broughy needs to control his anger better but I do understand his frustrations.

Fans nr me were asking why when Locke was knocked unconscious a knock on was given but when Ferres was injured there was no knock on but as I say we hadn't seen it. Was straight in front of us and nobody knew what the on report was for around me. Having seen the replay I'm not convinced Chase intended it, you could see by his reaction. Impossible to know the intent and the damage was done so is a correct charge for dangerous contact. But to assume intent is speculation at best. Best way to take out frustration is to win which you had every chance of doing if Brough had played instead of sulking

i'm convinced he intended to hurt Ferres, he was already held up with ball wrapped up, Chase went around the back of him and attacked his standing leg, his other leg was already off the ground, why would anyone want to attack someone's leg when they only had one on the ground?
it was an act of housery, of which Rangi Chase has previous for.
