I was gutted when Jodie left, he scored some amazing tries for us. But I was so impressed with Greg Johnson last year, he is a top winger. So if both were in the squad, and if we take BJB as a shoe in for one of the wing spots, who would you chose. Greg or Jodie? I would go for Greg.....

Broughton offers more, I'm not sure if he's physically bigger but he certainly appears stronger and better defensively.

| Moon is quality and would be a great foil for the bulldozing S'au. I'd also have Stefan, Cashmere and Broughton (remember how little service he actually got while playing for us?).
Now.... if (and a bloody big if!) the guy was 100% fit I'd throw McPherson back into the mix. I think, fully fit, he'd have been immense for us but we just never got to see him at anywhere near 100%.
You could make a case for people like Anderson as well. Class on his day but far too inconsistent in a Salford shirt.

| Greg Johnson for me. I loved watching Jodie in a Salford shirt, as has been said above he also scored some great tries for us but Johnson was just as good last season if not better. I always felt Jodie laboured on his work inside our own half, he never seemed to hit the line hard enough and make anywhere near as many yards as he could. In contrast, Johnson hits the line at speed every time which results in many clean breaks - a particularly memorable one was his try v Widnes away earlier in the year. I imagine he's much cheaper too!
Edit: just checked the stats and Johnson made 14 clean breaks compared to Broughton 6 last season. Both played the same number of games and scored the same amount of tries.

Same for me.
I liked Jodie, but Johnson is better.

With Butcher on the this & the 2014 stats agree.
+ for Jodie- less missed tackles, more carries- & carries from dummy run,
Johnson however almost 3 x the amount of tackles busts, twice the amount of clean breaks, Tackles & and offload game , with a team that finished 10th.
And he should be better next year with an intensive preseason behind him.
