| Fantastic match between TWO good sides. Not been able to say those words after a fixture against Leeds in as long as I can remember.
If we keep improving like this, plus adding BJB, a prop and a hooker we will be a match for anyone next year.
I thought the younger players were outstanding tonight (Walne and Theo in particular) but what is most impressive is the progression of the team as a unit. The effort shown in defence was awesome and completely different to the noble era.
Also - no point blaming the ref. We had chances to win but that's how it goes sometimes. Its not a big conspiracy with all the refs favouring the big clubs. The only person who is definitely against us is Eddie Hemmings...

| Classic play by McGuire. The knees first Big Daddy splash on young Theo as he scored his try, of course.

| Watching it back now.
Still convinced the pass to Fages for the disallowed try wasn't forward, even rewound it three times!
Not got up to the suspected Leeds forward pass yet but thought it was fine and was just a flat pass when I saw it on the big screen in the ground.

| I thought the pass to Fages was forward, but I also think the Leeds one was borderline. It certainly moved forward in relation to the ground, but that's not important if it is back in relation to the players (Stevo talks about the momentum rule. There is no such named rule. It is annoying, however, when he he refers to "the ball drifting forward". It doesn't matter where it drifts, it is the direction in which it is passed that's important.)
We were unlucky to have played so well and still come away with no points. However, I would make two observations:
Mozza did too many minutes because, basically, we only had two, nailed on props. The replacements, including Jordan Walne, who scored a great try, were back rowers. Apparently Tasi was poorly.
Secondly, we potentially wasted an opportunity by playing Locke. He is clearly not fit and was a waste of a replacement, forcing Tompkins to do more than appropriate and disrupting the plan. Evalds to start and Owen as replacement would have made more sense.
Or was MK too impatient to show off his new big name? If so, it may have cost him the game.

He was an embarrassment last night.
His bias is so complete you can't help but think that Sky consider this a normal part of their broadcasting.
As for the game, I thought Silverwood was okay. He missed things for both sides which is plain human error and is just part of the game. No complaints from me.

While I don't for one minute believe you are an idiot... I guess I would be agreeing with why he said it...I disagree with your statement that Silverwood was the difference. Referees are not the difference in any game. You have 80 minutes to control your own destiny. If you get it right for 80 minutes... you don't drop a ball, you don't miss a tackle, complete your sets, and everything else that goes with it... then you win the game. If you see a couple of decisions over an 80 minute period that haven't gone your way... and you lose the game... then it's simple... you haven't done enough.

| Leeds like Wire, Wigan & Saints have the extra couple of % in the big games, Its this that makes the difference, I think that 1 or 2 calls did go the way of Leeds. But Salford are definitely on the up & next season you will break into the top 8 & stay there.

What Eddie and Stevo say is irrelevant. They served their purpose in the late 90s but should have been put out to grass long ago.
On the subject of sky what is their obsession with having a Koukash cam. Every other time I looked at the big screen they was showing his reaction to an incident.
