Nothing on RFL disciplinary site on the punching charge as yet; but as he can't now use EGP (having used it for the shoulder charge) I wouldn't expect a decision until later in the day anyway. He'll surely have pleaded guilty though & a 1 game ban will almost certainly follow.

Burns was dealt with in the same way as Griffin & Walker; an EGP was accepted & therefore no further action. All 3 players will be unable to use the EGP for 12 months.

Travs Burns didn't escape punishment at all, he got charged with a Grade A offence, same as Lee for the punches he threw.

I really don't understand,
Some one decides to start punching you in the face and you have 2 options,
retaliate and have a dig back as nature dictates
or stand passively by and let said person crack me until i looses conciousness

Butcher,I think you will find that a shoulder charge is not a singularly automatic sending off.if you read the charge, the offence is for secondary contact with the head,which is debateable.
As regards " red tinted glasses " I personally just want fair play,and to give a head butting offence the same punishment, as the Tommy Lee offence,frankly beggars belief.

Aye, you're right. I was just skimming through the disciplinary stuff and misread it. I thought we were going to be weakened for two games but that might not be the case. I'm afraid I had a bit of premature emasculation there.

Having been easy touches for years we are now playing an aggressive game and this is showing in our defensive displays recently. However, if a tackle is fractionally late or the technique is faulty it looks worse when applied aggressively. So charges are not brought about because the RFL has an agenda against us, charges come with an aggressive style of play. We will need to get used it.

As fans all you can ask for is consistancy , just watching the superleague show and i cant see the difference between mcshane`s late hit and tommy lees .

I didn't read the full charge. If what you say is right then I agree with you. Secondary head contact didn't happen.

Tommy lee banned for 1 game £300 fine. .

I think we've come off pretty well considering all the charges raised. Tommy will be a big miss on friday though.
