Indeed, as Jodie Broughton's Dad told me last year, Jodie wanted to stay at Salford not for more money but for a longer deal (at least a 4 year deal), he thought he'd earned that with his loyalty when we were in the mire. As I understand it, the club would only offer him a maximum 2 year deal as we were 'in transition' but Hudds offered him a 4 year deal, therefore he went. I think it's unlikely that he would end up at Hudds for less money than he was on at Salford just because Hudds were a play-off side but at the same time not necessarily more either.
