| Quote: Dave K. "Cracking game, draw would have been a fair result, but there had to be a winner and there was only going to be one after your last try, we were gone, too many errors from Hull.
Chase caused us some many problems, good luck in the next round.'" fantastic atmosphere in the salford end, as you say a great game, both teams made plenty of errors, overall i think we deserved it, but i would say that.
A vast improvment from friday.

End of the day it doesn't matter, you are in the draw for the next round and we aren't, just enjoy it while you can.
On another note, once again impressed with Fages, you really improved with him on the field, thought this last week aswell.

He adds speed, flair and distribution when he comes on. Something that Lee or Howarth don't have. He's certainly making himself stand out in the short time he's given at the moment.

Someday, somewhere, today’s empires are tomorrow’s ashes.: |
|
| Great game, great atmosphere. Rangi was superb and, I assume, man of the match. The dummy and step for his try made the long traipse over there all the more worthwhile. However, we really need to talk about Greg Johnson. Jeez, just how good is he? I know some people were disappointed we lost Jodie Broughton, but when Jodie took the first drive it was pretty much a wasted tackle, as he never really made any ground. Johnson, though, looks capable of scoring every time he gets the ball, no matter where he gets the ball. That run after the half time hooter could have been try of the season if he'd just got through the last set of defenders.
We still seem a but shaky out wide, particularly down the left where S'au and Meli are a bit too easily stepped for my liking, and every time Hull moved the ball about they looked like they were going to score. We managed to contain their forwards though, which we didn't do last Friday.
Theo looked sharp at dummy half and could be the new Gareth Owen. He should probably be on the field longer than he is though. He didn't come on til the second half. That said, if Marwan was to try to sign Danny Houghton, I don't think I'd be disappointed.
It's a bit early to be getting all excited about it, but that's two very good, very entertaining performances in our last three games (and one pants one). Things are, at the moment, looking up.
