Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

Me and my son will be renewing our seats in the West Stand. Some good people around us and a brilliant unobstructed view. I tried out the South stand for the 2nd half against Widnes but the view I had there did little to encourage me to want to go back there. Having said that, I do miss standing in the shed and the great atmosphere that was generated there.
Me and the kids have been in the west stand for last 2 seasons but I'm thinking of swapping to east for next season - partly for price, partly cos the queues are usually shorter to get food an drinks and partly just for a change. Plus I can always walk round to the west if I want to sit with the posh folk!!
Not sure if its just because I stopped being a shed regular since I started bringing the kids 10 years or so ago but the few occasions I've stood in the south stand, it's been more the other fans than the view that puts me off - too much gobbling off, booing and abuse chucked at our players, other teams and the ref from too many people for my liking. Obviously nowhere near all and as I say I might just be getting a bit mard in my middle age but it doesn't half wind me up these days!
