I could sum up last night as schlep,( the travel ),scalp,( admission price for away fans ),and slap,( losing at the end with what appeared to be a forward pass on my view of the screen behind where the ripped-off away fans are seated.
Huge respect to the Hull FC fans who have been gracious enough to go onto forums and praise the performance of Salford.
My thanks to Gary and Amanda without whom I wouldn't have got there.
My pride in being associated with a professional team performance and the supporters who travelled and backed the players.
Praise to Brian Noble and his magnificent man-management skills in getting a disparate number of players,some of whom are leaving,to put in such a performance.( On the dark drive through North Ferriby I did realise Andy Hay had coached at Hull and so would have known of their strengths and weaknesses so praise to him for getting the message across and our players for their application.)
My sympathies to the players who deserved a lot more and with the hope they treat the last 2 games as cup finals.
The last Friday night game of the campaign may even make me feel better than last night.
