Quote: Wayward Fan "Manchester United U21s have now been officially arrived as a third tenant. Whilst it's good that the stadium will not be a white elephant, the upshot of this is likely to be even more complacency from the SMC and even greater reluctance to allow Salford to stamp any sort of identity on those soulless concrete interiors.
Now that the facility is slightly more financially viable, it's also likely to strengthen the reluctance to sell to Marwan and is likely to marginalise Salford even further.
I was one of those who was positive about this stadium but the longer we spend there, the less convinced I am that there's ever going to be any real progress.
Just praying Marwan can somehow wrest control and make it work for us.'"
I don't think 7 additional Man U U21's games are doing to recover any financial instability with the SMC & the existing tenants.
the long term future was . is and always will be the retail development and it's possible use to supplement the running costs / team costs , depending on who wins out between the Dr , the Council & Peel
