I believe chris Nero is back in oz. reading his twitter account he said that he has had to call it a day with his neck injury. He was tweeting Luke Patton and was meeting up with him for coffee.

I'd only have kept him if he didn't count towards a space, good player when fit but the sad fact is he's a crock who you can only see getting injured more with Nobles forward based game plans.

My understanding of the original dispensation given to the Crusaders boys was that it was only for the length of their original contract. Any further contract would then mean they have to be regarded as Quota/overseas players.

Which makes sense really as they would have been classifed as overseas players if they were still playing at Crusaders. The dispensation was only put in place so they could get signed up after Crusaders went bump.

I like McPherson but to use an overseas/quota spot on a player who's constantly injured doesn't make much sense to me.

McPherson agreed a one-year extension to his existing contract.( 2015 ) . next season ( 2014 ) is still on his original contract.

S'au is Samoan ,so qualifies under Kolpac aggreement ( classed as EU ) so doesn't count as a quoata spot , but does count as a Non Fed spot which is still limited to 5
