There is a Castleford Tigers Supporters Club Question and Answer session with head coach Daryl Powell tonight,so I expect this forum will be getting both barrels as from a few hours time.
I can only hope Mr Powell denies all knowledge and refers questions to a CEO who will not be in attendance.

Powell will say that as far as he's concerned Chase is staying. Therefore it absolutely must be the case, and there is no way he will leave.

That's a stretch

It was a stretch when Fages & Sneyd were put in , just saying we've had a knack of finding another prospect when previous promising half backs haved moved on , no reason to discount then next lot in the U20's can't step up given they will be firmly in reserve to I guess high profile SL or Quota 1st choices.

While it's fair to say Sneyd's never really had a far crack of the whip, and has an excellent kicking game, weighing up the pros and cons of letting him go, against bringing in Chase, and it isn't a hard decision. If we want to be a top four side, we need top four halfbacks, this season Sneyd has been overtaken by Fages and will never be in same league as Chase. Given Dr K has decided not to dissolve the salary cap, thus far, we still have to abide by it and rely on the kids for backup.

It's been announced by Cas that he's leaving the club HTH.




Contrary to reports elsewhere, Brierley was never actually offered a deal by Castleford so never had anything to turn us down with!
