I reckon tonight will be end to end tries galore, we need Fages, Snyed, Gaskell and McGoldrick all playing to create as much as possible.

Personally this is a game I'd have brought Evalds in for his broken field running.

Although I'd like to see Gibson at centre, Williams back on wing with Gaskell at 6 & Fages at 7. I'd leave McGoldrick out or on bench personally.

I'd agree with you there, Ledge. Think McGoldrick should be dropped. Doubt he will be though as I think Nobby sees him as the only one through the middle of the park with sufficient experience.

Pretty disappointed if Sneyd has been dropped rather than rested.

If he isn't playing then again that would have been an even greater chance for Evalds to be given a crack, know I said it before but his pace and broken play running would have been ideal tonight.

Was told recently that McGoldrick is the clubs highest earner (maybe hints at the desperate straights we were in at the start of the season) so maybe Nobby I'd aware of this and sees him as a more vocal infield leader while Wild remains as Captain in all but name.

Hope that Shannon isn't being rushed back when all were playing for is pride, and I sometimes think when I see Walne running is we couldn't use ala Andy Coley in his prime running slightly wider as he has a bit more pace than your average 2nd rower.

Howcome Sneyd has been dropped? I'm quite disappointed about that. Wakefield have got Aiton and Smith back in the squad so it'll be a real test for us tonight.

Is that because he's been dropped or because he has gone to France because he has made the French World Cup squad? No issues at all with Theo being rested but I'd have done so against a team we have less likelyhood of beating. He is a very precocious talent that I'm sure will benefit from not being targeted each week as our playmaker and should he start a few WC games for France we'll see at the start of next season Theo mature into one if the best young scrum halves in SL.

If that's the case surely it would cause less disruption leaving Sneyd at full back & slotting Gaskell in the halves?

I'm sure it will come as no shock but I'd be rather pleased if Fages is dropped. As I keep saying he may have all the potential in the world but I struggle to see it week in week out. Maybe playing behind a better pack he may flourish next season, too young for me, ask me about him in 2 or 3 years. Pleased if Gaskell is in halves, better kicking options ewith either Sneyd or Gaskell, hopefully turning Cockanye?? And Fox tonight.

I know Nobby won't go for it but does anyone think putting McPherson in at loose would be a good idea? Wild is no longer SL standard and should be at Leigh or Halifax next season. With McPherson at 13 it would stiffen up our defence and as long as he had inside runners following him I think a few breaks would be there to be had.
