The two schools that played before the match were Wellacre HS and Stretford HS in the Trafford schools U16 final. The schools that played at half time had been taking part in the year 7 Manchester and Trafford schools competition . Looking onto the pitch from the west stand, the schools playing in front of the Bradford fans were ,Newall Green HS Wythenshawe Mcr in yellow,against Wright Robinson HS from Openshawe Mcr in red, for third and fourth place. The schools playing on the right in front of the home fans were St Ambrose College from Altrincham, in red and blue against St Peter's HS from Gorton Mcr, in black for first and second. St Peter's won.
