Whilst I didn't see the brawl and don't condone ' such behaviour ' , I find it strange a straight set two with two forwards get cited for 8 & 4 match bans, whilst potential career ending challenges ( off the ball high shots - shoulder charges ) only usually get 1& 2 match bans if at all .
an 8 match ban for Vinnie would potentially signal the end of his career , and I don't recall him being a regular visitor to Red Hall during his time at Saints - Warrington - Salford ,

It's all about the image of the game. The RFL go into hysterics at a bit of fisticuffs, seeing it as a blight to the uninitiated RL viewer. Off the ball/shoulder charging, although much worse, doesn't blight the family image of RL.
