If you're looking for a decent pint then the Grapes hotel on Liverpool about a 20 minute walk to the stadium is your best bet.
If you want more of an atmosphere then the next pub down towards the stadium is The Unicorn its where most go for a pint and sing song (Usually after the game). Also the ground itself has a fans bar next to the main reception which is open to both home and away fans.
