For a team without a coach, you did very well yesterday Salford, much better than us. Very unlucky to only take one point away from that game. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Good john wilky last looked out
on the pitch at salford.
when the snow lay round about
deep and crisp and even
brightly played the lads that night
though the frost was cruelllll
when poor swinton scored a try

I thought the same about Foran, looked very unfit and seemed to be blowing quit a bit for periods during the game, hopefully with a bit of game time the match fitness will come back.
Quote: Chico "
I was worried that Vic Mauro seemed to be carrying an injury. I think he only managed ten minutes in the second half which meant that our other forwards tired visibly.
I don't think I've been as cold at a match for years either, so full marks to both teams for performing in those conditions!'"
My guess was he picked up a bit of hypothermia ( Mauro ) from Bondi Beach Weather to Siberian Belle Vue in a week & a bit - I had four layers on and thermal Gloves & still had to sit in my motor with the heater on for 15minutes after the game trying to get them defrosted.
as for his physique , he didn't look that slim in the manly games I've seen him in , I'd go for ' stocky ' .
Let us not forget that the season in Oz only started last week so in terms of preparation they are five or six weeks behind where the rest of the team are.
I can't see them being unfit if they've been training with Manly, a notoriously fit team. More likely an aclimatisation issue. It takes me about three weeks to adjust when we get the first freezing cold days and I haven't just left 30c+.
I think you are missing the point, I didn't say they weren't fit, but behind in terms of conditioning, being fit and being match fit can be hugely different.
