Terrible for the family of course but that is life, that is sport. He is member of the footballing face of the club and it is well within the purview of fans to discuss whether he should retain his position. We should all be here for the good of Salford RLFC, not for good of the people who currently occupy positions within it. The lines got blurred in this respect along time ago by some fans.
I've got the newspaper article from The Advertiser when Simms was appointed, it contains words to the effect of 'what Simms job will actually entail is still unclear' - if ever one line summed it all up.
