Those who attended the Forever Reds meeting between Christmas and New Year may have heard me mention the possibility of a selling a photobook of the 2012 season to hopefully raise some money towards the Save Our Salford Fund.

The last couple of years I have done a photobook of the season for my brother for Christmas. Originally I was looking at offering this for sale at a hardback through the Blurb website . However due to the number of photos in book and its subsequent size, each book would end up at £60 cost price. I think this is prohibitively expensive.

So I have decided to do this as an eBook and it can be bought here

All photos in the book were taken by me at games I attended throughout the 2012 season. I wasn’t able to attend every game so by no means is it a complete record of the season.

80% of the price of each sale will go to the Save Our Salford fund and the remaining 20% goes to Blurb in the form of commission. As stated previously the hardback book is very expensive and I wanted to set what I consider a fair price which is why I have gone down the eBook route. If there is enough interest I will of course look at offering the book as a hardback book for sale through the Blurb website.

Please note the eBook is only designed to work with Apple devices that have Apple iBooks on such as the iPad and iPhone. I cannot guarantee it will work with other eBook devices such as the Kindle.

At present Blurb only offer Apple format eBooks. It would take me a few more weeks to create the book in all different formats and I wanted to get this on sale as quickly as possible.

I am looking into how I could do the book as a PDF for those who wish to buy it. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know and I will look into these.

In the meantime you can preview the first hundred or so pages of the book on the website and then buy one if you wish. I would love to hear some feedback.

Finally can I ask you all to spread the word about the eBook and we can hopefully sell a few copies and give a small boost the Save our Salford fund.

That said, Blurb is print-on-demand. So there's no upfront cost to worry about. And a few people might pay it. Some on here have paid more than double that for a Salford photo book (albeit by a pro).

I'm also looking at doing some limited edition prints too of photos I've taken at games over the last couple of seasons. I'll post updates on here.
