Yes because we want another owner like Wilkinson who spends f**k all every year keeps us at the foot of the table sells our bet players which keeps attendances low and holds us back as a rugby club! We don't want a guy whoa willing to throw money into the ring create a successful RL team who people will want to pay to watch? Are you crazy!

We need someone who in the short term will pay off the debts and invest.

Long term the club can then be sold to someone who wants to run an RL club.

just read that andrew chalmers could take over as CEO........that'll be a good appointment......though he did nearly bankrupt the NZRL when he was in charge of league in NZ..

It's a reasonable question IMO

A few thoughts have crossed my mind. One: where has his interest come from? Via discussions with Fred Done? Maurice Lyndsay? Secondly: what is his main interest? I doubt he has been a closet Salford fan whilst living in Liverpool for the last 30 years. Would it be in property around the stadium? The oft-touted Manchester Racecourse?

Right now we are not really in any position to question his motives. If he is willing to put his money where his mouth is, I for one would welcome him and pray for a brighter future, knowing we can worry about potential consequences if it doesn't work out, further down the line - we can't be left in a worse position than 4 weeks away from oblivion. Can we...?

Never one to look a gift horse in the mouth. BUT---- If he is the interested party, then you have to wonder what his motives are !.I wonder if he knows anything at all about RL ?

His interest is obviously property and a link with Peel. There is so much to develop around the stadium lets hope he comes in and does a job on the area as well as the club.

It isn't like we have a great deal to chose from is it?
