| I agree, I'm sick of not knowing, but I don't expect the chairman to release a statement with every last detail of the mess that we're in. There is bad press in abundance regarding the club, the last thing they need is to feed the vultures with more bad news. I think Wilkinson did all he could. Put a brave face on it and try to reassure the fans. Obviously we've heard it all before, but it's something I suppose. It was either this, which in all honesty is what most clubs / businesses would've released or the wall of silence that fans hate.

| Why hasn't someone 'outed' the informant who has made the hitherto trustworthy and respected rugby league journalists look particularly silly ?
Week after week for an interminable length of time I have read how the new investors would be announced;how Salford fans would soon be given good news and how 'delicate discussions' were taking place. What exactly is delicate about waiting an aeon for council members to make a decision on a further loan ? A council it should be mentioned, that already has a loan in place and it must be being adhered to or else they would be named on the winding-up petition.(I'll hang fire on commenting on Peel - just in case - but impressed thus far,I ain't.)
How is it that Jennifer Williams in the MEN on 4th Dec.wrote the best, most informative piece of journalism ?
Why in this weeks RLE in a Richard de la Riviere interview does a player get quoted with''......investment deal is done, and they're just waiting for it to be confirmed.''
When Bryn Hargreaves has retired because in his opinion, and I agree, rlplayers are treated like pieces of meatrl I find this whole episode beyond the pale.
This has gone on for ages and the RFL remain silent;they still haven't replaced Lewis and fish rot from the head down.
I find no positive news on a sport that struggles for any redeeming features. The player pathway has altered
on a whim and another player, wanting the best for his partner and child,Ainscough, has left for Australia.
The way it's going just the Big 4 in Super League will be left by the end of the decade.

| What's not to get?? All of a sudden there are interested parties? I think we've all heard this & that for many months now and been given false hope time & time again so given what has happened over those months why should we believe a word that is being given to us? I will believe it when I see it!

| Would they be doing what they did with us (and Bradford) and wait for the club to go into administration, thus making it cheaper. The fact that the fixtures are out and only a couple of months away from the start of the season means that the RFL are likely to let you complete the season, as they did with us. You will then be assessed based upon how the new owner does, as with us and with Bradford. These bumps are sometimes what you have to endure, but we are in a much better place for going into admin and being sold to a new owner from admin than we would have been if someone had tried to buy out the old regime. The same is true for Bradford.

| Fixtures might be out but season hasn't started. Salford games would just become byes, however that would also mess up the Magic Weekend.
