Well this is interesting, after reading all the posts I can only see one person who lives in the Weaste area ( Heartland Salford) yes plenty profess about how they were born there but seems plenty also thought it wise to move out.
You can play the old well Walkden, Swinton and Cadishead card are in Salford but the reality not many of you are happy to stay in the real Salford.
I wonder why that is.??

Wow supporting Swinetown really has had an adverse effect on your life, is the other Swinetown fan as bitter as you ?

For me Weaste is the place I was born/raised/grew up in, however in life people move to different places, I currently reside in Swinetown it's where I live but it's not home just like Barton isn't. Home is where the heart is. You should know more than most after all you've had more moves than a Gypsie.

I think that question would be better directed at councillors that served between the 1950's and 1970's. What do you mean by stay? Some of us have never lived in what you consider the real Salford despite previous generations living there.
