Quote: Bigpev "it also appears that some future investors have done their research and found this website and due to some of the posts have decided that it is not worth continuing their interest, after all the fan is where the money is to make a club viable, if it appears most people are totally Anti-Salford it is not worth wasting money on.'"
Sorry Pev... I don't buy that at all... I'd say there was probably less than 0.5% of the Salford fan base who regularly come on here in an Anti-Salford frame of mind, and for what it's worth, many of those seem to be those living in the real world who could see this coming.
Any potential investors would not be put off by such a small number of people who had been negative. They would look at the business model.... look at the state of the club and make a decision based on that. They would see the lack of financial commitment from the club to get people through the turnstiles and look at how they could make that change. They would look to generate new support rather than concentrate their efforts on that small percentage that they had lost and would never get back.
I think there is much confusion on here as to whether somebody has got it in for the club, or are just being realistic. Most of those who are deemed the negative few have been going for years and have seen enough... and have heard enough of the constant poor excuses and broken promises given by the current hierarchy to consistently remain in a positive state of mind.
It's those negative people who should have been listened to the club many months/years ago... because most of them have turned out to be correct. It's those who think nothing is wrong and everything will be 'just fine' who do the damage in my opinion... the same people who clap the players off following a good hiding because they are 'real fans'.
