There was a lot more than 4,000 there but there was a lot less than 7,400 there. I've already said on the Sale forum that we must have made that one up.

South Stand was full and East Stand was near enough. West Stand probably 3/10 full and North Stand had maybe a couple of hundred.

The problem with the attendances is gonna be the West Stand and its stupid pricing. At Edgeley Park we had 2 stands with a combined capacity of around 7000 that were Silver and Bronze. Now the Silver and Bronze are only in the East Stand. You lot probably know how much that holds more than me but doubt it's much more than 2000.

So people wanting a seat are left with the choice of a £550 season ticket or £47 a game in the West Stand and I'm glad that they've voted with their feet.

It's gonna be like that all season in my opinion. Any of the vocal lot or those who want to stand have opted for the South Stand and those who wanted a seat but aren't a millionaire opted for the East Stand.

Attendance was probably realistically around the same as the Leinster game - 5,500.

there is your problem half of the ground is the west stand, so look at TV with that info the gate will be about 4k at best

the record of who ever counts the gate at the ground is 8k on match night 5k a few days later and 4k after that

You'll get used to that. We seemed to have had two attendance figures given for most games this season.

Spotted some Saracens fans in Eccles at lunch time looking very bemused at some of the sights, not Pimms and Prawns.

Of course the area around Edgeley Park is awash with Pimms and you can't see the pavements for the prawns....
