Couple of people on twitter suggesting the council are getting involved.

I'd be surprised if it was Sale beacuse the people who have tweeted or mentioned it were saying that it was good news for Salford fans - I doubt anyone in RL circles would greet a Sale takeover with anything other than caution.

Give me Sale rather than these ijit's any day.

If it were Sale it wouldn't be long before you had Kennedyitis, which could be worse than your present complaint.

Won't be long till your fully integrated with the kick and clap boys. Now then who agrees that the Rugby League should break away from Super League Europe, taking the challenge cup with it and let the clubs do what they do best play rugby to entertain spectators. Yes it would mean a drop in revenue short term but at least you won't be treated to the contempt you have by Sky making you move from your own ground. Plus you would play in meaningful leagues.

I can only imagine some of the heads that would explode at the Salford Star and in Swinton if the council get more involved.

At present it has to be said any new owner would be preferred than our current one .
he is a spent force , JW's whole emphasis over the past decade has been to deliver us into a new stadium and into financial security so he can walk away guilt free . leaving a golden age legacy ..
However the original proposition - a self funded masterpiece where the club would play to the full salary cap ' rent free' with retail , casino and hotel , turned into an expensive rented island in the mud policed by G4S like it was HMP Forest Bank , with a car park based on Escape from New York.
Now with our previous home turned to dust and the Club purported to be in an even more precarious position JW feels to me like a broken man with no plan B .
Most people feel displaced in the new Stadium , even more so with our new bully house mates on board.
the club feels like it has been in limbo for the last few months waiting , either for the end or new direction.
most of the positives we could have taken , reasonable crowd figures , expansive style of attacking play, and a great U20's side have been nullified by rumour & uncertainty, high profile players leaving &' reorganisations '.
like I said ' good news round the corner ' or new management can only be a good thing .
