| Quote: TheButcher "I can't help feeling uneasy looking at the Willows now. It's like a visual representation of what's happening internally at our Club. The slow demolition of something we loved until there's nothing left.'"
Similar thoughts crossed my mind. However it's harder to demolish memories so at least we'll be left with those.
Quote: TheButcher "another part of my life disappearing
my old homes, Harmsworth St and Langton St gone
Education , Kara St Nursery, Langworthy Rd School, Clarendon Park High all gone
Work, Mothers Pride bakery gone
entertainment, Carlton Pictures, Langworthy Hotel, The Willows gone
Aye - the pub I grew up in was knocked down a few years ago too - be nothing I recognise left next time I come home. Apart from some of the feckless wonders who booze around Eccles no doubt.

I had a mate who got one of the houses on Station Rd when they were first built, used to love going on the loo in there, always a pleasure and he had such good reading material. ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

| It was a real rugby league stadium loved the place the stand behind the sticks was before its time and still put most to shame to this day

Great post and something I've always thought
I still wonder how many stadiums could benefit from it to this day, but no doubt the contractor has the best price already agreed for the steel.
