Now ask yourselves three questions:
1: Has the club's income increased?
2: Have the club's costs decreased?
3: Have we found any new investors to help plug the financial black hole?

If, as I suspect the answer to all 3 is no, then we are in pretty deep mire!

Someone (Red1?) posted earlier on this thread making the point that the debt is primarily to JW therefore as long as he doesn't call it in then it doesn't really matter. My reading of the accounts is that that is true BUT 2 years ago the debt was increasing by £490,000 per year so required someone to stump that much up every year - if the answers to questions 1 and 2 are "no" then this is undoubtedly much worse now so where is salvation to come from?

I'm not really a genius at this sort of stuff , but the chart linked to earlier in the thread had us in the black in 2009 and now in the red by 4m for 2012.

I have received the accounts for over 15 years,the club has lost money every year of trading.This loss is under written by Mr Wilkinson and Mr Clague. The accounts linked were 2010, so it is fair to assume we could be a further £1million in arrears, under written by the above named benefactors. Who could blame them,if they have had enough?

This isn't about the build up of debt,it's more about the Directors having to keep putting more money in to ensure the club continues to exist in its present form.
So,to all those that give them stick or accuse them of mismanagement,be careful what you wish for.
If they're either unable or unwilling to keep putting money in,then that's it folks!

So if the money that JW et al have been putting in all these years had been yours what would you have done?

I tend to agree that there has been a lack of vision in where SCR should have been going, and certainly a lack of scrutiny of those tasked to deliver the vision - hindsight is a wonderful thing !

But PT do you seriously give no credit to the man who has kept SCR afloat?

I think the top and bottom of all this is that there have been a number of rumours about our state for some time... There have been a number of articles in a number of different newspapers from a number of different journalists... There have been a number of people who have heard things from the people at the club... what worries me is... surely all this hasn't come from one person saying 'Salford are skint and heading for the knackers yard'... and it's then just snowballed.

As they say... no smoke without fire and there certainly seems to be a lot of smoke at the minute.
