The other way of looking at this is, it may just be that the coaching staff don`t think Gleeson is good enough for next year and have made no attempt to keep him ! Maybe they have better players in the pipeline! I don`t think Gleeson is a huge loss, yes he`s been good in attack THIS year [ is this the Longy influence ] but his defense is very suspect. [ I remember the Wakey fans pointing that out when we signed him ] I say again, the one we should really make sure we keep hold of is Sean Long. With his influence I don`t think it matters who replaces Gleeson ,or Smith for that matter.

He's already used that pitch when he signed for Salford 12 months ago.

TBF to Gleeson, he was hurt early doors but he had what you could call a bit of a mare.

Tbf I think most fans would agree that Rovers are more likely to win a trophy than Salford.
Now that doesn't mean that we are likely but if Rovers are 25-1(ish) to win next seasons CC, Salford will be 40s.
I don't think either will win anything for the forseeable but what Gleeson said is still true.
