It doesn't mean good defender.
It means somebody who you put it who is alright, does a job, you won't get anything special from him he will do average drives / tackles / yards in relation to the rest of the squad, when the ball lands in his hands its tackle complete / a settler and we look to play off it

Maybe tempted to put Ashurst in there too but I don't feel I have seen enough of him to judge what he does in certain situations, he would be our best blocker tho if that makes sence
You do need them to plug the gaps and they are no frills but they arnt going to ask our opponents lost of questions.
