| To be fair the ref stood still, put the whistle in his mouth. Then changed his mind when every player had stopped including the hull player with the ball and waved play on.

| To be fair, just before the obstruction try, Bentham gave a drop out after we apparently knocked the ball dead. To everyone around it me looked like the Hull player had got there first and it should have been a try... Swings and roundabouts.

| The 50/50 decisions we can all sort of accept [ swings and roundabouts and all that but its the real howlers which do our `eads in, and that was a real stinker !!!!

| DF I can forgive refs for getting forward passes wrong, speed of the players makes it difficult to be in perfect position every time, but shockers like that are pretty inexcusable for a professional ref, it was a blatant obstruction. Still who gives a monkeys, we won regardless of the bad decisions
The disallowed try i believe was for crossing, or that's what i saw Bentham signal. To be honest i thought that at the time.

| i couldnt believe it when i saw the highlights, bentham couldnt be in any better postion to see that obstruction. I can forgive refs not giving forward passes as they are already infront of the play.. and there try in the second half i thought he hit the flag first tbh, Watching the highlights on safords website gibbos 3rd try was fine.Do the rugby league look at the ref's performances each week? the only decent ref for me at the moment is the french guy and i still dont think hes that good

| I thought the 3rd Gibson try was chalked off for a Hull player apparantly being held back, but I must admit, I didn't see that incident and neither did Bentham. As GT says, I also thought the drop out was a Hull try (and had we had a video ref would have been given, just as surely as Hull's first would have been chalked off), I'm not sure whether Bentham had realised he'd made an error and decided to even things up but it just shows that we all see things differently and it was swings and roundabouts. Lest we forget, we had the better of the penalty count, including a few that were doubly advantageous, e.g. one was given against Hull on the 5th tackle near the halfway line and it's a long time since I've seen that situation handed to a Salford side.

I'm sure I read that the rule had been changed this season so that now you are not deemed to be in touch if you hit the corner flag while in the air diving over for a try. Can anyone confirm this or did I dream it?

| After just seeing the proper highlights on the club site a few things really jump out at you.
First Bentham is seriously innept.
The sheppard was the most blatent I've ever seen, every player stopped and you can see Bentham raise his whistle before not bothering - that said any school kid knows you play to the whistle and I think Nero was taking 40 winks on the next drive.
If the Hull try was allowed to stand with that sheppard then how on earth waqs our try not? at least ours was a dummy runner and not just a player doing a passable impression of a staue in the middle of the park.
But most of all think we all need to put Bentham on our Christmas card list, look where Owen ran into the off side player and where DJ took the kick from, looks like we made a good 5 meters and possibly allowed the kick to be scored.
