The company who own Sale Sharks, and who bought Stockport County to gain control of Edgeley Park before then offloading Stockport County and keeping the ground to rent to them. There may be a link between rumours of Sale staying put and them allowing County a rent free period - i.e. Sale won't be having to find rent for SalStad.

Back on the MUFC reserves issue, it would be nice if a few of United's twittering players made their way down on occasion enough for them to at least taking a passing interesting in Salford and tweet a bit about us - a potential antidote to Ferdinand and Rooney going on about Wigan and Leeds.

There's quite a bit of United reserves talk on Twitter.

I'm actually quite insulted by your insinuations. Thankfully I've got good friends who know me far better than you ever will who have, and will continue to, stand my ground on this.

Well you openly called me homophobic on here once and when I tried to talk to you in the big room at the Willows you ignored me and coudln't move quicker, all I wanted was to chat but you didn't have the courage of your convitions - if you had all that would have happened would have been a discussion and in all likelyhood a handshake at the end even if was agreeing to disagree.'"

I've never knowingly avoided you, so I haven't got the first clue what you're on about. I'd be quite happy to have an adult conversation about this, I'm intrigued where you've got these apparent rumours from.

With all the unrest road here and people having "issues" with other people, only way to resolve the problems would be to have a Scarlet Turkey Charity Boxing Night, with Forever Reds taking all the proceeds then everyone can kiss and make up icon_kiss.gif

Funny you should mention that as I believe Chris Smalling is a mate of Rob Parker's and was planning on attending the Leigh-Wigan friendly, although I'm not sure if he turned up bearing in mind Utd played Liverpool the next day.
There's also a Blackburn first teamer who is a lifelong Leigh fan and a regular at the LSV.

Maybe if Utd's next big thing turns out to be a Salford fan with a fancy for rugby then it would be a huge marketing tool for you.
